This was my first set of graphic illustrations, and I chose this design to illustrate all the ideas and disagreements centered around feminism and gender quality. The design was awarded 1st Place All-Colorado in Photo/Graphic Illustration from CHSPA in 2015.

The design for the feature story on the cast of the spring musical, Cinderella, highlighted the environmental portraits that were taken to personify the musical. The rest was kept simple so that the photography really shone, but there was a theme of black graphics carried throughout the spread that reflected the fantasy theme of the story.

I wanted the photo shoot for this cover story to be playful and fun, so I let our models relax and play with paper hearts and string. The resulting cover design is an echo of the article's topic, but just vague enough to spark curiosity.

I designed the template for the first four pages of our magazine, focusing on creating a sleek look, attention to detail, and trademark design characteristic to The Lake.
